Chimaira Done Sucking?
Chimaira’s new album Resurrection will be released next Tuesday, March 6, 2007. If Internet chatter is any indication, it will not suck.
This is big news, because 2003’s The Impossibility of Reason was awesome, but apparently things went sour over at Roadrunner, and they foisted upon their fans a fetid fecal fetus called, well, Chamaira in 2005.
Not that this post is a ringing endorsement or anything like that. Check their myspace page to hear two tracks off the upcoming release: “Worthless” and “Resurrection”. For funsies, compare them both to “Lazarus” (offa’ the self-titled turd) and see what you think.
I think it’s rather encouraging.
Note also that Chimaira will be a supporting act for Killswitch Engage at the 9:30 Club in D.C. this Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately for you… if this is the first you’ve heard of the show, you’re out of luck, because both nights are sold out, loser.
